Ross invests in a small number of direct grants to federal tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations, schools, and government programs that serve a community in an area where we have a large presence; funding emphasizes academic achievement and life skills in economically disadvantaged youth, ages 3-24.

Regional Giving Program

Grants are given by the Waxahachie Foundation to charitable organizations in Waxahachie and the Waxahachie area. Applications are first considered by the Grants Committee.

Must be a charitable organization (501(c)(3) or other qualified charity) | Must be located in or serve Waxahachie / the Waxahachie area | Must provide most recent fiscal year statement of income and expenses

Waxahachie Foundation Grants

The Foundation provides operating, project and capital grants. Grant applications begin with a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) submitted via the Foundation's online portal; the Foundation carries out two grantmaking cycles each year.

Work must be tax-exempt charitable work, typically under a 501(c)(3) public charity or a public institution (501(c)(4) only in certain circumstances). | Primary geographic focus is Texas; work outside Texas accepted by invitation only. | For community parks, environmental education programs and animal welfare, focus is on greater Houston and central Texas; outside these areas by invitation only. | The Foundation typically does not fund galas/fundraising events; grants, scholarships or memorials for individuals; endowment funds; religious activities; ongoing maintenance and operations for parks and park conservancies; species-specific animal rescue and transport efforts or trap-neuter-release (TNR) programs.

Jacob & Terese Hershey Foundation Grants

We fund nonprofit organizations in LA + Orange County, CA, Washington, DC, and Western, MA focused on advancing education and employment outcomes for historically underserved youth through College Access & Success, Career Pathways, and Family Strengthening programs.

Must be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (described in IRS section 509(a)(1), 509(a)(2) or in certain cases 509(a)(3) | Must serve or be located in LA + Orange County, CA; Washington, DC; or Western MA | Must demonstrate or have a plan to demonstrate measurable outcomes | Generally only one grant per calendar year to any organization | Returning grantees must submit a final report prior to a new application; final reports due no more than 60 days after the end of the grant period

Ceres Foundation Grants

General grants program: the Foundation considers requests from 501(c)(3) public charities (not private foundations) and governmental units, with a geographic focus on Texas and a special emphasis on Houston; priorities include conservation, education, healthcare and programs for underprivileged youth.

Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity that is not a private foundation (509(a) public charity) | Governmental units described in Section 170 of the Code are eligible | Not a non-functionally integrated type III supporting organization (per Section 4942(g)(4)(A)(i)) | No grants to individuals | No grants to foreign charities | Will not directly or indirectly support candidates for political office or influence legislation

John M. O'Quinn Foundation Grants

The Foundation promotes, fosters and supports children and education and contributes to educational institutions of higher learning, with a primary focus in Tarrant County, Texas. Grants typically range from $1,000 to $25,000. To be considered, grants need to be in accordance with our mission statement; application deadline is July 31.

Fash Foundation Grants

THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES SMALL GRANTS ($250-$2000) TO NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND IN SOME CASES, INDIVIDUALS DEMONSTRATING NEED TO IMPROVE FUTURE OUTCOMES.
