Geography
Observed grants in the latest year reached organizations across 11 states, indicating a national (multi-state) footprint rather than a local focus.
Recipient Variety
The latest year shows 16 distinct recipients (16 grants) with 15 newly funded organizations, demonstrating a fairly broad and diverse recipient set focused on higher education and scholarship administration.
New Applicants
Direct evidence of turnover is limited to two years, but 15 new recipients in 2023 plus program-specific application/contact channels (Watanabe Scholarship email and a Mineta application form) indicate that unfamiliar applicants with the right program fit can plausibly enter the portfolio.
