Systems Change Grant Program

The Oak Hill Fund is a private family foundation (formed in 2002) that operates a Healthy People – Healthy Planet portfolio of six program areas and accepts letters of inquiry via an online grantee portal for open programs. It only awards grants to organizations tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3).

Must be tax exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code | No funding for individuals, capital campaigns, endowments, or book and film writing/publication

Reproductive Health, Rights, & Justice

Annual award recognizing work that strengthens or reimagines psychoanalysis; accepts individuals, teams, and organizations and honors completed work from the most recent decade.

Work submitted must have been created between 2016 and 2025 (most recent decade).

Sigourney Award

Supports research initiatives and projects that shed light on historical responsibility and shape remembrance; funding focuses on Remembrance, Research, and Resilience with impact and geographic priorities described on the page.

Funding Principles

Welcomes project proposals from organizations both in the United States and abroad that seek to advance USRF's mission within three funding priority areas: Rule of Law; Media & Free Enterprise; and Civil Society & Expertise.

Applicant should have at least a two-year financial history confirmed by reports to tax authorities | Established track record in successful project management and implementation

U.S. Russia Foundation Grants

The Chrysanta Foundation supports organizations that empower women and aid the environment within their local communities through compassion, collaboration and innovation.

Must be a registered 501(c)(3) organization | No direct donations or grants to individuals | No funding for international organizations (U.S. only) | No funding for fiscally sponsored organizations | No endowments | No political campaigns or legislative lobbying | No projects that exclusively serve religious purposes

Chrysanta Foundation Grants

Provide long-term support to grassroots community-based organizers and advocates, low wage workers, and other change agents working among people of color, low-income youth, immigrants, refugees and other underserved populations.

Must be a 501(c)(3) public charity or apply through a qualifying fiscal sponsor | No requests from individuals | No religious institutions or activities | No scholarships | No protection of wildlands, wildlife, water conservation or land trusts | No colleges, universities, schools or programs for schools; no camps | No endowments, capital campaigns, deficit financing | No internationally based organizations (international funding only via two partners) | Organizations with annual budgets over $1M are ineligible

Lawson Valentine Foundation Grants

Grants supporting: the beneficial interaction between humans and animals and animal welfare; issues concerning women’s & children’s health, safety, and welfare; and early intervention and addiction prevention. Applicants submit proposals with required documentation for board review on published cutoff dates.

Must be a 501(c)(3) organization (Designation and Certification of 501C3 required) | Request must align with at least one focus area named by the foundation (animals; women's & children's health, safety, welfare; early intervention and addiction prevention) | Include the submitting organization’s most recently filed IRS Form-990 (signed by an officer) | Provide current total operating budget (and program budget if applicable) | Provide full listing of current Board of Directors | Please include latest Independent Audited Financial Statement and Annual Report (or indicate if not available) | Letters of Intent, proposals for event sponsorship or endorsements, and funding requests for individuals are not processed
