Approach through the visible executive director contact on the organization's website or by phone and emphasize local ties, membership/partnership with the La Crosse arts community, and a request for general operating support in line with past award sizes. Building or documenting an ongoing local relationship (participation in the umbrella campaign or collaboration with existing member groups) will be more persuasive than cold submissions given the lack of formal application guidelines.
