Because the funder limits awards to preselected recipients and provides no public submission route, interested organizations should pursue local introductions — via community foundations, prior grantees, or mutual board contacts — and show clear local impact in arts, education or conservation. Proposals should be concise, locally focused, and positioned as the kind of patron-style or project support the foundation has historically awarded; unsolicited applications without a referral are unlikely to be considered.
