Constant Contact prices each plan by contacts and sends, and its nonprofit discount needs a prepay. Zeffy costs $0 at 500 contacts or 50,000.

Donation forms, events, auctions, raffles, a store and memberships run free, and Zeffy covers processing. Constant Contact adds 3.5% on event payments.
Zeffy sends your newsletters from where your donors already are: a free all-in-one fundraising platform with a full donor CRM, built in, that every donation, ticket and membership writes into, so you see who gave from each send. Donation forms, events, peer-to-peer, auctions, raffles, a store and memberships run in one account, and Zeffy covers processing. Constant Contact is an email marketing subscription, with Lite, Standard and Premium plans priced by contacts and sends, and it does not see who gave. It also sells event tickets through the Stripe or PayPal account you connect, adding its own 3.5% fee, and points nonprofits to donation tools such as DonorPerfect or Qgiv for gifts.
Constant Contact prices each plan by your number of contacts and your email sends. Its pricing page, read in October 2026:
The price rises with your contact count. Zeffy costs $0 at any list size: see how Zeffy is free. Source: constantcontact.com, October 2026.
Yes, but only when you prepay. Nonprofits get 20% off when they prepay six months and 30% off when they prepay 12 months. There is no discount when you pay monthly. In the US, Constant Contact asks for your federal Letter of Determination showing 501(c)(3) or 501(c)(6) status, and tells you not to buy a prepay plan before it has confirmed your nonprofit pricing. On Zeffy there is nothing to apply for: the price is $0.
No. Constant Contact is a paid platform with no free plan. Its nonprofit page offers a 30-day free trial with up to 100 emails, and new plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you want free email marketing for a nonprofit, Zeffy needs no trial, because nothing is billed later: newsletters, donations and the donor CRM are free at any list size.
Yes, through its event tool, on every plan. Payments go through the Stripe or PayPal account you connect, and an event can take ticket sales or donations. On each payment, Stripe charges 2.9% + $0.30 (PayPal 3.49% + $0.49), and Constant Contact adds 3.5% for events created on or after 8/1. You can add Constant Contact's fee to the buyer's total, but not Stripe's. On a $100 ticket paid through Stripe, your nonprofit keeps $93.30 if it absorbs both fees. For gifts outside events, Constant Contact points to integrations such as DonorPerfect, Blackbaud, Neon CRM and Qgiv. On Zeffy, a $100 ticket stays $100 for your nonprofit, and a buyer's optional contribution to Zeffy comes on top.
Coming soon: a direct Constant Contact import. Until then:
Once your list is in, every donation, ticket and membership keeps it up to date, and you build lists from giving history, such as lapsed monthly donors, to email from the same screen. See Zeffy's email tools.
Choose Zeffy to send your newsletter from a full donor CRM that your donation forms, events and memberships fill on their own, with who gave from each send in its results, all free. Constant Contact is email marketing first: SMS, social ads, deeper automation on Premium and live phone support, billed by contacts and sends.
Yes. Zeffy has no plan, no contact tier and no fee on any gift, ticket or email. Donors may leave Zeffy an optional contribution at checkout, on top of their gift, never out of it. The one paid option is Donor Mail, printed letters at $1 each in the US. See how Zeffy is free.

As a startup nonprofit with only two members, and no funding (yet) we’d need something with low (or no) fees. Zeffy was a dream come true.
